The History Of Pipe Tool Specialists
Christmas 1959
in a London hotel Derek Cutmore is presented with the 1st prize by Hoover for the most sales in his region. At the top of his game as a salesman, over the next few years he would be planning to build a business of his own.
In 1963
He was invited to a trade delegation held in London where companies demonstrated their products and services, each one vying for the attention of the next generation of British entrepreneurs.
Incorporated in 1964
One Company in particular made an impression, The Ridge Tool Company of Elyria, Ohio. Pipe Tool Specialists Ltd was incorporated in 1964 to market Ridgid products.
The business is now larger and more diverse than he could have ever imagined it would become, as it has evolved into a multi-channel distributor with customers throughout the UK. What he would recognise however is our continuing commitment to the highest levels of customer care in the industry, upheld at every level in our organisation.
